Manipur State Women’s Kabaddi C’ship : NAYA sail into semifinals with three straight wins

IMPHAL, Jan 4 : Hosts NAYA, Nongmaikhong are in the semi-finals of the 72nd Manipur State Senior Women’s Kabaddi Championship 2026 as they beat Imphal East and MYC, Heirok to complete their league stage (Group B) sweep today.
NAYA, having beaten UPS, Kumbi by 59-14 points yesterday, pulled off a 29-20 win over Imphal East for the second win this win before getting better of MYC, Heirok by 29-24 points in the third match to top Group B.
In another Group B match of the day, UPS sealed a 42-38 win over MYC but suffered a 18-39 loss to Imphal East, who went on to secure a 47-43 win over MYC to finish Group B runners up and qualified for the semi-finals alongside NAYA.
Meanwhile, VETO, Laphupat Tera also extended their winning run to two games in the Group A league competition as they beat CARD, Wabagai by 41-27 points today after CARD defeated SLYO, Tekcham by 36-26 points.
LYUC, who lost 18-37 to VETO yesterday on the other hand overwhelmed SLYO, Tekcham 56-31 to return into the competition before edging 44-40 past CARD and qualified for the semifinals alongwith VETO who have a match left to play against SLYO.
