3rd Premier League AMOFA, IYFC end campaign on winning note

IMPHAL, Jan 8 : All Moirang Football Association (AMOFA), Moirang and Imphal Youth Football Club (IYFC) posted slender 1-0 wins to end their 3rd Premier League campaign on a winning note.
In the 102nd match of the 15-team tournament staged today at SSC ground, Ngasepam Diamond came off the bench to score in the 54th minute and earn IYFC a 1-0 win over Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club (KIYC).
It was their second win in as many as 14 games that included 3 draws.
With the result they finished 14th in the table on just 9 points.
Later in the day, AMOFA rode on Khwairakpam Somorjit’s 20th minute strike to beat YPHU, Lalambung 1-0 for the 5th win in 14 matches that included 1 draw.
YPHU meanwhile remained 8th in the league table on 20 points off 5 wins and 5 draws.
