39th State Level Polo TournamentESC-A, New Vision PC, K&MMRS-B reach Round of 16

IMPHAL, Jan 8 : ESC-A, New Vision PC, and K&MM RS-B all reached pre-quarterfinals of the ongoing 39th State Level Polo Tournament by regitering their first round victories  today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
In the first match of the day, New Vision PC outlasted Kwakta Polo Club by 4-3 goals riding on a treble from Jaminikanta and a goal from Sh Bony.
Jaminikanta’s third goal sealed the victory of New Vision PC in the fifth chukker as the two sides remained locked at 3-3 after four chukkers. A Janus, Michael and K Sanand scored a goal apiece for the Kwakta side in this game.
In the second match, ESC-A outclassed MPSC-C 8-1 courtesy of W Johny who scored twice in the first chukker, one apiece in the second, third and fourth chukkers to complete his haul of 5 goals.
L Thomson, K Samananda and A Lamyanba also found a goal apiece for the winners as M Devanath scored the only goal for MPSC-C.
Later in the third match, Rocky Kh and O Seitajit were on target in K&MM RS-B’s 2-1 win over Kangleipak PC. The lone goal for the losing side was scored by Prakash Bhandari.
