Sensitisation programme on FYUP held

IMPHAL, Jan 9 : The College Development Council (CDC), Manipur University (MU), organised a one-day sensitization workshop on the new syllabus of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for the affiliated colleges of Manipur University today.
Held at the Court Hall of the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat, MU, the workshop was attended by Professor N Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor of MU, as the chief guest; Tokpam Shantikumar Singh, Controller of Examinations, MU, as the guest of honour; Professor Soibam Jibonkumar Singh, Chairman, Committee for Implementation of NEP 2020 (UG) and Dean, School of Human and Environmental Sciences, MU as the functional president.
In his address, VC Professor N Lokendra Singh congratulated and expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders, including the Academic Deans, Controller of Examinations, and affiliated colleges, for the successful implementation of the university’s academic calendar.
Highlighting the effective implementation of NEP 2020, he acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the Committee for Implementation of NEP 2020 in sensitising departments and affiliated colleges about policy reforms, designing new syllabi and curricula, promoting interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies, and emphasising skill-oriented education despite various challenges.
The workshop featured Professor N Sanjoy Singh, Principal, Liberal College and Khuraijam Dineshkumar Singh, DM College of Teachers Education as resource persons.
The technical sessions covered Manipur University Regulations for FYUP 2025, based on NEP 2020, including credit transactions, levels of study, and learner’s choice in FYUP, in line with NEP 2020 as well as structural reforms in the evaluation system of FYUP at Manipur University.
In addition, a technical session on the facilities of Manipur University Library was conducted by Assistant Librarian Moirangthem Lokendro Singh.
The workshop was attended by dignitaries from various affiliated colleges, principals, faculty members, and invited resource persons.
