State level spot painting competition held
IMPHAL, Feb 1 : The 1st State Level Lainingthou Sanamahi Spot Painting Competition, organised by the Lainingthou Sanamahi Thougal Lup Wangoi, was held today at the Lainingthou Sanamahi Wangoi complex.
The event was organised in connection with the annual religious rituals of Laiyingthou Sanamahi.
Themed, “Preserving and Conserving Nature”, the competition saw participation from students across Manipur, ranging from KG to Class XII, who competed in three categories: KG to Class 4, Class 5 to Class 8, and Class 9 to Class 12.
Several dignitaries attended the function, including Longjam Shyamjai Meitei, president, Lainingthou Thougal Lup Wangoi; Angom Ningthou Angom Poireiton, Uttra Sanglen Sana Konung; Oinam Lukhoi Singh, ex-MLA, Wangoi AC; Ngangom Uttam Singh, Joint Secretary, Tribal Affairs and Hills, Government of Manipur; and Longjam Joykumar Singh, Chief Conservator of Forest, Government of Manipur.
Members of the Tangkhul, Maring, and Kabui communities also participated, offering prayers as the Temple gates of the Lainingthou Sanamahi Sanglen were opened for the year.
