Loktak dazzles with fashion parade

BISHNUPUR, Feb 1: Fashion Tourism 2026––a fashion parade to promote tourism and local handloom products was held at Loktak Lake today.
The fashion tourism was produced by renowned fashion designer Robert Naorem and choreographed by National Show director Sham Khan with Elangbam Bhimo as event director.
Powered by Polo City and Oriflame, 40 male models from Manipur and other States of India participated in the parade wearing hand-loom products.
Addressing the media before the show, Robert Naorem said the parade was one of his dream projects.
The fashion parade aims at promoting tourism and local handloom products, Robert said.
Loktak is one of the most important tourist destinations in Manipur. The fashion parade aims to further promote it, Robert said.
The fashion parade will also help promote local talents and encourage youths to pursue a career in modelling and tourism industries.
