Arms and ammunition recovered

IMPHAL, Feb 9: Security forces recovered arms from Ngarou Chingjel hill range, Nongdam village under Lamlai police station, Imphal East today.
The recovered items include one .303 Rifle with magazine, two 12 Bore Single Barrels, four 9 mm Pistols with a magazine each and three No 36 hand grenade.
In another operation, police arrested three alleged active cadres of KCP (Apunba) involved in a case of bomb explosion at Lilong Chajing.
The arrested have been identified as Laishram Bulu Singh (39) of Chana Mayai Leikai, Puyamcha David (22) of Llambung Takhellambam Leikai, both arrested from Watham Leirak crossing, and Ningthoujam Chalamba Singh (29) of Khurai Kongpal Sajor Leikai arrested from Khewa Bazar.
From their possession, police sized a four wheeler Maruti Gypsy, one .45 Pistol with magazine and 17 rounds, and other incriminating items, said the Police Department.
