REYS, YWC-L triumph in Veteran T-20 Cricket Tourney

IMPHAL, Feb 10 : REYS, Nagamapal and YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) emerged victorious in today’s matches of the ongoing XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026.
In the first match of the day, REYS extended their Group A winning run to two games by handing BSC-A a 3-run defeat.
Toss winners REYS amassed 114 runs for 8 wickets down thanks to leading knocks from Bonny 46, Iboyaimab 18 and Dhawan 17 before Iboyaima (3/10) and Momo (3/24) played crucial role in dismantling BSC-A for 11 runs in 19.4 overs.
Robert (3/18) and Rohindro (2/7) shone with the ball for BSC-A in the first innings before they slumped to 111 all out in the chase despite Rajibkumar’s fighting 37-ball 39.
Iboyaima of REYS, was declared man of the match.
Later in the day, YWC-L who suffered Group B opening game loss beat UCC, Uripok by 3 wickets for the first win.
UCC raised 123 runs for 8 wickets after choosing to bat first but YWC cruised to the winning 127 in 19.2 overs with 3 wickets left to spare.
Romen 37, Prasanjit 22 not out and Hemjit 21 led the scoring for UCC in the first innings that saw Prakashmani (4/16) and Tejkumar (3/18) of YWC-L sharing 7 wickets.
In reply, Manaobi 30, Kumarjit 29, Ashokumar 21 and Tejkumar 20 set the foundation of a successful chase for YWC-L.
Manglem (2/22) and Hemjit (2/10) managed two wickets apiece for UCC in this innings.
Prakashmani who added 18 runs after claiming 4 wickets for YWC-L was deservingly declared man of the match.
