2nd Dr Chourjit Polo Tournament Thangmeiband Youth PC edge out MPSC, X-Polo Club see off Ibudhou Moirang Thangjing PC

IMPHAL, Feb 10 : Thangmeiband Youth PC got the better of MPSC by 5-4 goals in the sudden death to set up a semi-final date with X-Polo Club, who saw off Ibudhou Moirang Thangjing PC 13-2 earlier in the second quarterfinal match of the ongoing 2nd Dr Chourjit Singh Inter District Polo Tournament, 2026.
In the second quarterfinal match of the tournament, X-Polo club rode Th Jacob’s leading performance (4 goals in the third chukker), two goals each from L Kokeshwor, T Herojit, Th Santosh and L Atangba to seal the huge 13-2 win.
P Ojit also added one for the winners as S Thailand scored both the goals for Ibudhou Moirang Thangjing PC in the third chukker after X-Polo Club enjoyed a 2-0 first chukker lead and 6-0 lead till halfway mark.
Later in the day, Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club who were trailing 3-4 till the third chukker rode on S Saolin to equalise in the fourth chukker before S Saolon scored his second in the fifth chukker to earn the 5-4 win.
T Pradeepkumar and Th Ranjit scored a goal apiece for MPSC while O Paikhomba and K Victor scored a goal apiece  for Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club to make it 2-2 till halfway mark before S Bimol scored twice in the third chukker against O Paikhomba’s second to make it 4-3.
Saolin then drew level in the fourth chukker to extend the game to the fifth chukker and scored the winner in the second minute.
