Online applications open for Skill Development Training under PM-AJAY Scheme

IMPHAL, Feb 11 : The Directorate for Welfare of OBC & SC, Government of Manipur, has officially opened online applications for persons belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community to participate in Skill Development Training programs under the GIA Component of the PM-AJAY Scheme.
The initiative aims to cover a total of 1,650 beneficiaries across various trades.
According to a notification issued by the Directorate, the programs offer a range of opportunities. These include a three-month Residential Combine Certificate Course in Food & Beverage Service Associate and Guest Service Associate for 960 beneficiaries, and a one-month Residential Training in Bridal Fashion and Photographic Make-up Artistry for 360 SC women aged 18 to 35.
Other Non-Residential programs cover Baking Technician, Assistant Electrician, Assistant Hair Dresser & Stylist, and Field Engineer trades, along with a six-month Residential Course on Machine Operator (Plastic Processing).
Interested applicants must submit their forms online through the web portal “www.manipurobesc.mn.gov.in”. Applications will be screened at the district level via online mode only; no offline forms will be accepted. The last date for application submission is March 10, 2026.
Eligibility criteria under the PM-AJAY Scheme require applicants to be above 18 years of age. Priority will be given to individuals or families with an annual income not exceeding Rs 2.50 lakhs.
Additionally, 30 percent of the beneficiaries in each trade are earmarked for women candidates, and 50 percent will be reserved for Internally Displaced Persons from SC communities.
The selection process involves online registration, form submission, District and State level verification, publication of a final selection list, and the commencement of training.
