Stage set for quarterfinals of Shaheed Manoranjan Memorial Football Tournament 2025-26

IMPHAL, Feb 11 : ESU, Wangkhei and SSU, Singjamei secured pre-quarterfinal victories to cruise into the quarterfinals in the 16th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial State Open Football Tournament 2025-26 being organised by 86 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IG M&N Sector, CRPF.
The 7th match of the tournament saw ESU getting better of SJC, Salam by 3-1 goals as Naorem Kaba (13’, 17’) hit a brace before Laishram Yaiphaba rounded off the scoring in the 87th minute.
The lone goal for SJC was scored by Thongam Priyaball in the 27th minute. With the win, ESU set up a quarterfinal date with FC Raengdai.
Later in the 8th match of the tournament, SSU prevailed 3-0 over RFCC, Keinou to set up a quarterfinal date with Milan FA, Keibi.
W Jack opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a tidy finish before Kh Hemlet (31’) and Robert Usham (83’) took their turns to seal the 3-0 win.
PATHAP FC, Lilong will play Juvenile Club, Tera in the  first quarterfinal tomorrow from 11 am before AIM, Khabam take on NMFA, Salam in the second quarterfinal match from 2 pm.
