T20 Veteran Cricket RNEF beat YCC by 40 runs, TCMDC thump YUCC by 7 wkts

IMPHAL, Feb 11 : RNEF, Mayang Imphal notched up a 40 run victory over YCC, Wangkhei in a Group C match as TCMDC, Thongju brushed aside YUCC by 7 wickets for second straight Group D win today in the ongoing XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground.
In the Group C contest, Raju (139 not out off 71 balls) and Jagu (68 not out off 49 balls) scored a century and half century and remained unbeaten for the first wicket partnership to help RNEF post 215 runs in the first innings before restricting YCC for 175 runs for 7 wickets in the chase.
Loya scored a half century (65 off 37) and Winkan followed with 45 for YCC in the second innings as Dhaneshwor 2/25 and Max 2/25 of RNEF shared four wickets.
Raju who scored a century and picked one wicket was declared man of the match.
In the Group D match, TCMDC bundled out toss winners YUCC for 112 runs within 18.3 overs thanks before posting 115 runs for 3 wickets in 16 overs on the back of Rakesh’s 52-ball 59 and Krishna’s unbeaten 24 off 23 balls.
 Sanjit shone with a four wicket haul (4/23) for TCMDC as Jiten (2/18) claimed two and three others shared three wickets.
For YUCC, Sibananda 25 and Risk 23 led the scoring before Nishi returned with 2/14.
Sanjit was adjudged man of the match.
