IMPHAL, Feb 12: A complaint has been lodged with the Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime regarding the circulation of misleading information on social media concerning Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata Singh.
The complaint lodged by the Personal Assistant to the Speaker this evening said that such misleading social media contents are intended to harm the reputation of the Speaker and mislead the public.
It urged the SP to take cognizance of the matter, register an FIR under applicable provisions of law, initiate appropriate investigation and action against those responsible, and take necessary steps to stop further dissemination of such misleading information on social media.
