Arms recovered

IMPHAL, Feb 12 : Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from Awimun village area under Kangchup police station in Kangpokpi today.
The recovered items include one MA-11MK rifle along with magazine, one pistol along with magazine, six single barrel guns, two improvised mortars, fifty live rounds of INSAS, one live round of single barrel gun, two PEK, two hand grenades, two detonators, one hand set and some protective gear, according to police bulletin
Additionally, security forces recovered two .303 rifles, one .22 rifle, eight 12 bore single barrel guns, 25 live rounds of INSAS, 10 live rounds of .303 rifle, four INSAS magazines and some other items from Champhai hill range under Sagolmang police station in Imphal East today.
The bulletin also said that one individual identified as Sagolsem Sana (47) of Paona Keithel was detained and bound down for spreading rumors related to a firing incident at Pallel, today.
