IMPHAL, Feb 13 : Lourembam Chinglemba will face off against Oinam Robinson in -45 kg category boys’ (2014-15) title clash in the 5th edition of the Master Boys and Girls’ Boxing Championships 2026 being hosted by the Manipur Amateur Boxing Association (MABA) at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena.
Lourembam Chinglemba of SRBA-A reached the final with a dominating 5-0 win over Lairenmayum Lanchenba of TUC in a one sided semi-final clash before Oinam Robinson of NSA pulled off a similar win against Laishram Langamba of SRBA-B in the other semi-final match.
SRBA-A’s Meitram Denish meanwhile secured an RSC win in the second round against Oinam Pibalemba of KACTL to set up the -43 kg final date with MSBA’s Oinam Manithoiba who won 4-1 against MBA’s Thokchom Lemba in the first semi-final match.
In the -37 kg category semi-final bouts staged earlier in the day, PKBA’s Yumnam Mangal edged out Moirangthem Tonicha 3-2 via split decision as SRBA’s Phavaimi Kasomhung overwhelmed independent candidate Shamurailatpam Shantanu Sharma 5-0.
The day also saw Sandham Lamnganba of NBA and Oinam Lohenba of SRBA-A securing -39 kg final berths as Leishemba Alexander of SRBA-A and Nongthombam Diamond of NBA entered the -41 kg final.
S Lamnganba and K Tomthinganba in -25 kg final for boys’ (2016-17)
In the -25 kg category semi-finals, Sarungbam Lamnganba of TUC thumped U Dinson 4-1 of SRBA-B and Keisham Tomthinganba of MBA outlasted Yarya Lungharwoshi of SRBA-A 5-0 to complete the final line up.
Khongbantabam Robinson and Angom Jeninson secured -27 kg final berth with a 4-1 win over Haobijam Thoithoiba of KACTL in a semi-final clash today.
Mayngam Sharon of SRBA-A also reached the -29 kg category final with a 5-0 unanimous decision win over Nathan Akoijam of TUC in the final as Ringphaso Layum of SRBA-B outpunched independent candidate Moirangthem Lamyanba 4-1 and Khundom Sanatomba prevailed 5-0 over PBA’s Gurumayum Manikanta in the -31 kg category semi-final bouts.
SRBA-A’s Huidrom Lovingson Mangang and Wangkheirakpam Thoihen also reached the -33 kg category final as Wangkheirakpam Anand of NBA and MSBA’s Naorem Yuhenba reached the -35 kg category final with decisive wins.
MSBA’s Ningthoujam Pamuba also progressed into the master (2016-17) boys’ -43 kg final with a comprehensive 5-0 win via unanimous decision against Kh albert of KACTL in a semi-final clash.
Master Girls (2014-15)
Leithanthem Linghenthoibi Devi of KACTL secured her place in the master girls’ -31 kg category final with an easy 5-0 win over NBA’s Konsham Kebisana in a semi-final clash.
Sanjenbam Jeshika meanwhile reached the -35 kg final with an identical win over Goon Gonmei of independent before Laishram Linda of PKBA reached the -41 kg final with a 4-1 win over Arambam Dondon of NSA in the final before SRBA-A’s Lanthuilu Rongmei pulled off an RSC win against independent candidate M Ngayurya in the second round to enter -45 kg final.
