TKS supports TNL's emergency

IMPHAL, Feb 14: The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) has expressed its support to the 'emergency' declared by the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) on February 10 in view of the violence and unrest in Ukhrul's Litan recently.
"We acknowledge the gravity of the circumstances that necessitated such a declaration and firmly stand by the collective decision taken in the larger interest of our community," said the TKS in a statement.
"TKS aligns itself with the aspirations of the young generation who seek peace, security, justice and a future built on unity and dignity. As a responsible student body, we reaffirm our commitment to uphold the rights and welfare of our people while promoting constructive engagement and collective responsibility during this critical time" it said.
It also expressed solidarity with all the displaced families due to the unrest in Litan.
"We stand shoulder to shoulder with every affected household and commit to extend every possible assistance within our capacity while ensuring coordinated efforts with concerned authorities and organizations for effective relief and rehabilitation," it said.
The TKS urged all sections of society to stay vigilant and united.
