Veteran TT C’ships : MPSC’s L Bikram and IW’s L Sumila clinch 40+ singles titles

IMPHAL, Feb 15 : MPSC’s L Bikram and IW’s L Sumila were crowned 40+ singles winners as the 24th State Veteran Table Tennis Tournament organised by Manipur Veteran Table Tennis Association at Indoor Stadium, DMU Campus came to a close.
L Sumila secured the 40+ women’s singles title by beating compatriot A Sanatombi 11-1, 11-8, 115 in the final while L Bikram overcame compatriot S Munindro 11-8, 11-9, 10-12, 11-7 in a keenly contested final clash to seal the 40+ men’s singles title.
The day also saw Bikram and Munindro of MPSC securing the 40+ men’s double title by defeating the IE-IW pair of S Joychandra and Th Dharmendra in the final.
Th Dharmendra meanwhile secured the 50+ men’s singles title as he got the better of S Joychandra 11-9, 11-7, 11-4 in the final.
