Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Spear Corps, visited Manipur today to assess the security landscape amid challenges.
Accompanied by senior commanders, Lt Gen Pendharkar toured critical zones in Ukhrul, Kangpokpi, Imphal East and Imphal West districts, said IGAR (South) in a statement.
He received detailed briefings from the GOC Red Shield Division, IGAR (South) and other formation leaders on operational dynamics.
The Corps Commander also reviewed Army and Assam Rifles deployments, interacting directly with troops to evaluate their readiness for emerging threats.
Praising the soldiers' professionalism, Lt Gen Pendharkar directed all formations to maintain high vigilance and agility, especially in volatile areas, to counter any rapid developments.
