Cong to work from grassroots level

IMPHAL, Feb 17: The Opposition Congress party is set to work from the grassroots level in order to strengthen the party under Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhavan, BT Road here today, AICC observer of City District Congress Committee G Rudra Raju said that the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan campaign was launched with the primary objective of strengthening Congress party from the grassroots level.
After the campaign has been successfully undertaken in different States, the same campaign is being launched in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur and Nagaland, he said.
Under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, meetings will be held with executive members of District Congress Committees, PCC members and Congress leaders, G Rudra Raju said.
He said that meetings will be held with Block Congress Committees of Thangmeiband, Sagolband, Keishamthong, Uripok, Singjamei, Yaiskul, Wangkhei and Jiribam, and the Youth Congress on how to strengthen the Congress party from grassroots level.
