Septic tank explodes

IMPHAL, Feb 17 : In an unusual incident, a septic tank exploded at Thangal Keithel around 5 am today.
The explosion caused significant damage, destroying a glass display case at MM Tailor and a window of a nearby building.
Speaking to the media, proprietor of MM Tailor, Mangitombi, said that he was alerted about the explosion by his staff.
Upon inspection, he discovered that garbage had been scattered inside his shop.
After a police inspection, it was determined that the mess was caused by a septic tank explosion, he said, adding that the septic tank owner should be held responsible for the damage.
Till the time of filing this report, it is not clear what caused the septic tank explosion.
