TCMDC roll on with third straight victory in Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Feb 17 : TCMDC, Thongju sealed their third Group D win on the trot in the XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026 as they defeated NAPSA, Kha Imphal by 34 runs this morning at Langthabal Public Ground.
Asked to bat first, TCMDC posted 120 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs riding on a significant knock from Krishna (49 off 47 balls) before bundling out NAPSA for 86 runs in 17.3 overs riding on a concerted bowling effort.
Jiten (2/13), Krishna (2/15), Somorjit (2/14), Bigish (2/15) and Sanjit (2/24) all picked two wickets apiece to set up the NAPSA collapse in an innings that witnessed Puspen top-scoring with 22 runs.
Earlier in the first innings, Ibobi (2/23) and Doren (2/21) shared four wickets as three others claimed a wicket apiece.
Krishna of TCMDC was adjudged man of the match.
Later in a Group A match, LCCC, Lilong Chajing got the better of LCC, Lamsang by 40 runs.
Khaba shone with a 50-ball 76 and Shibadatta smacked 51 off 32 to help LCCC amassed 208 runs for 4 wickets after winning the toss and bowled out LCC for 168 runs in 19.4 overs to seal the commanding win.
Kison also quickfired 47 off 25 balls and remained unbeaten for LCCC in the first innings where Premjit (2/32), Morning (1/36) and Kenedy (1/15) shared four wickets for LCC.
In reply, Dutta scored a 39-ball 51 but his efforts went in vain as Bijen (2/42), Shaphaba (2/28) and Shibadatta (2/26) ripped through the LCC line up.
Shibadatta of LCCC was eventually declared man of the match.
