Moirang-Wangoo road work to begin : CM

IMPHAL, Feb 18: Chief Minister Yumnam Khem-chand Singh has announced that the construction work of Moirang to Wangoo road via Kumbi will commence within 15 days.
This announcement was made by the Chief Minister during a reception programme held today at the residence of Kumbi MLA Sanasam Premchandra Singh in Bishnupur district.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister assured the public of his Government's "unwavering co- mmitment to development."
He also informed the public that work on the Napat bridge will begin tomorrow and is expected to be completed within five days.
The Chief Minister further directed Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, to submit a report on the construction of prefabricated houses for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the district.
The Chief Minister was again accorded a warm welcome by the residents of Thanga at MLA T Robindro's house at Kairenphabi, Bishnupur district.
Speaking at the programme, the Chief Minister assured that he would personally look into the grievances raised by the residents of Thanga Assembly Constituency.
The State Government will extend all possible support for the Constituency's development, he said. Superintendent of Police, Bishnupur, Th Shangkar Deba, several other officials of the Government, and residents of Kumbi and Thanga Assembly Constituencies attended the programme.
