IMPHAL, Feb 1 : Keithellakpam Nandini netted 7 goals alone to steer KRYPHSA, Naoremthong a 16-0 win over Khuman FA to kick off their Group A campaign in the U-19 Women’s Football Tournament on a bright note at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong this afternoon.
Laishram Naotombi (7’, 70’, 90’) opened the scoring for KRYPHSA before Keithellakpam Nandini ran riot to devastate Khuman FA defence line up and banged home seven goals alone (20’, 23’, 28’, 45+1’, 58’, 60’, 75’) to set up the landslide win.
Moibungkhongbam Sanjana (27’, 30’) and Mayengbam Narmada (63’, 81’) also contributed 2 goals apiece for the winners as Khuman FA were left in the lurch through the game.
Later in the day, MUFA came out all guns blazing to get the better of MPSC by 7-4 goals.
Malemnganbi Naorem hit a treble (31’, 45+1’, 76’) and Malemnganbi Naorem (46’, 72’) gathered five goals for MUFA in the team’s victory as Sayani Chakraborty (42’) and Yaiphabi Thokchom (60’) scored a goal apiece.
Meanwhile, Oinam Olivia (8’) and Kshetrimayum Naocha (82’) netted a goal apiece for MPSC before Ningombam Chanchan Chanu scored a late brace (86’, 90’).
