State team for 69th NSG U-19 Boxing head to Bengaluru

IMPHAL, Feb 2 : State boxing team prepared by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports have left Imphal for the 69th National School Games Boxing for U-19 boys and girls beginning on February 5 at Bengaluru.
The boxers who made it to the State team for the competition to be hosted from February 5 to 9 are as follows.
Boys : O Rajesh Meitei (46 kg), Chinggrihor (49 kg), Matunmi (52 kg), Md Abdul Noor (56 kg), M Yaikhomba (60 kg), K Thoungamba (64 kg), Prabin Naorem (69 kg), Rajkumar Max (75 kg), K Satyajeet (81 kg) and Th Pele (91 kg).
Girls : M Alina Devi (45 kg), Luwangleima Soram (48 kg), L Bidya Devi (51 kg), L Luxmi Devi (54 kg), Menaka Sarungbam (57 kg), Nimsolen (60 kg), Tekcham Neeha (64 kg) and Thokchom Geetanjali (66 kg).
Th Amritgopal and M Shyamchandra are leading the boys’ squad as manager and coach while L Thoimani and S Suresh are leading as manager and coach of the girls’ squad.
