XIII T-20 Veteran Cricket Tournament CYCLONE, SU cruise to fourth straight victories

IMPHAL, Feb 21 : CYCLONE, Thangmeiband and SU, Sagolband secured their fourth straight league stage victories in the XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026.
CYCLONE secured their fourth Group C win on the trot this morning at Langthabal Public Ground by thrashing RNEF, Mayang Imphal by 53 runs.
CYCLONE posted 132 runs for 7 wickets after winning the toss and electing to bat first courtesy of Jugalkishore’s unbeaten 38 off 31 balls and useful contributions from Shyamsunder 25 and Roben 18.
Jugalkishore (4/21), Chinglensana (3/11) and W Surjit (2/15) then devastated the RNEF line up and bowled them out for 77 runs in 17.1 overs.
Dhaneshwor (2/20), Premkumar (2/18) and Jasobanta (2/28) picked two wickets apiece for RNEF earlier in the first innings before Raju 21, Premchandra 13 and Dhaneshwor 13 not out emerged their leading run getters.
Jugalkishore was eventually adjudged man of the match.
Later in the day, SU cruised to their fourth Group D win by thrashing TCMDC, Thongju by 7 wickets.
TCMDC, who were unbeaten in the previous three games, posted 116 runs for 6 wickets after electing to bat first but SU chased down the target in 17.3 overs with 7 wickets to spare riding on Baleshor’s unbeaten 52 off 43 balls and Prameshor’s quickfire 35 off 25 balls.
Gulshannanda 44 not out off 49 balls and Bijesh 27 not out off 23 balls led the scoring for TCMDC earlier in the first innings where Rozer (2/17), Bedamohon (2/29) and Prameshor (1/9) shared a wicket apiece.
For TCMDC, Jiten (1/12), Sanjit (1/30) and Bijesh (1/25) were among the wickets.
Prameshor who shone with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.
