IMPHAL, Feb 5 : Newly sworn in Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho will go to Motbung on Saturday and interact with Kuki youth there.
Speaking to The Sangai Express today, Losii Dikho said that he has been entrusted with a huge responsibility  as a Deputy Chief Minister in the backdrop of the Meitei-Kuki conflict.
As a first step toward accepting this responsibility, Losii Dikho will interact with Kuki youth at Motbung on Saturday.
“The people of my Assembly segment are waiting to give me a warm reception but to me, the responsibility entrusted by the Chief Minister is more important. That is why, I’m planning to first interact with Kuki people at Motbung before meeting my electorates”, Dikho said.
“As a Deputy Chief Minister and as a Naga, I will work sincerely to bring reconciliation and peace between Meitei and Kuki”, he asserted.
Saying that restoring peace and normalcy is the first priority, the Deputy Chief Minister asserted that there can be no development without peace and normalcy.
A Government is there for the people and it is imperative to let the people know that whatever a Government does is in the interest of the people.
Each community may have different aspirations and it is essential for the Government to bring these aspirations to an understanding, Dikho said.
The Naga negotiation has been going on with an understanding and Nagas are now quite experienced, he said.
