IMPHAL, Feb 5 : Reacting to the stern opposition shown by the Joint Forum of Seven (JF7), Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) and Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) to the formation of a Government in Manipur with the participation of Kuki-Zo MLAs, the World Meetei Council (WMC) has appealed to all the people of Manipur, especially the Kukis, to act as responsible citizens, "because this is the only way forward for all of us".
It is worth noting that JF7 had announced a total shutdown across all Kuki-Zo inhabited regions of Outer Manipur from 6 am to 6 pm, February 6 in protest.
Taking to X, WMC expressed its firm belief that the people of Manipur will overcome the present difficult situation and will regain its rightful place and position in the country.
