Cricket tournament begins at Thoubal

THOUBAL, Feb 5: The 3rd Late L Somananda Memorial State Level Cricket Tournament 2026 kicked off at YAL Ground, Leishangthem Khongmanung Mayai Leikai today.
20 teams are competing in the tournament, organised by the Young Association Leishangthem (YAL).
On the opening day, Peter Ningthoukhong beat KCC Khangabok by 4 wickets.
KCC faced the ball first to score 147 runs for 10 wickets in 12.2 overs.
Peter Ningthoukhong scored 151 runs for 6 wickets in 14.1 overs to beat KCC.
Peter Ningthoukhong's undefeated Bhopendra Mangang scored a massive 83 runs off 35 balls and was named the man of the match.
