U-19 Women’s Football Tournament KRYPHSA drub MPSC 9-0 to complete league stage sweep

IMPHAL, Feb 7 : KRYPHSA, Naoremthong crushed MPSC 9-0 to complete Group A league stage sweep in the U-19 Women’s Football Tournament being organised by the All Manipur Football Association at Artificial Turf Ground.
With the landslide win, KRYPHSA finished as league winners and qualified for the semi-finals alongside MUFA who finished league runners up.
Laishram Naotombi took centrestage in the game as she netted four goals alone (12’, 17’, 34’, 45+1’) after Keithellakpam Nandini (6’) opened the scoring.
Mayengbam Narmada (23’) and Maibam Olympia (24’) also added a goal apiece in the first half to make it 7-0 for KRYPHSA before Hemam Linthoi (64’) and Moibungkhongbam Sanjana (80’) took their turns in the second half to complete the 9-0 rout of MPSC.
Later in a dead rubber Group A match, UPSA, Pukhao notched up a 5-0 win over Khuman FA. Manaophy Jamang (14’, 65’) and Janish S Kafae (55’, 62’) scored two goals apiece for UPSA in this one-sided encounter as Tanushree Soni managed one in the 50th minute.
KRYPHSA will meet YWC-L in the first semi-final match on February 9 from 2 pm at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong before FC Imphal play MUFA in the second semi-final match on February 10 at the same time. The final is slated for Feb 16 at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak from 1.30 pm.
