TCMDC, BSC-B win in Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Feb 7 : TCMDC, Thongju defeated BSC-B, Brahmapur Laljilakpa Leikai by 8 wickets as BSC-A sealed 4 wicket win over CHAMP, Khagempalli in today’s matches of the ongoing XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026.
In the second Group D match of the tournament staged this morning, TCMDC restricted toss winners BSC-B to 125/7 and eased their way to the winning 129/2 in 15.2 overs riding on Anand’s unbeaten 41-ball 51.
Kiran 42 off 32, Banikanta 25 off 32 and Johnson 24 not out off 21 led the scoring for BSC-B after they elected to bat first. Somorjit (2/30), Bijesh (2/10) and Sanjit (2/30) shared 6 wickets for TCMDC in this innings before Rakesh 46 off 32 and Ananda produced a remarkable second wicket partnership of 80 runs off 57 balls to set the tone for an easy win.
Naoba (1/29) claimed the only wicket for BSC-B in the second innings as Th Tarun got run out.
In the Group A match staged later in the day, BSC-A rode on Rajibkumar’s all-round show to seal a 4 wicket win over CHAMP.
CHAMP, who elected to bat first, were bundled out for 109 runs in 20 overs as Tarun 3/21, Rajibkumar 2/24 and Gopal 2/13 led the BSC-A bowling attack before Thoungamba and Rajibkumar 20 not out lead BSC-A to the target in 17.3 overs with 4 wickets left to spare.
Rocket 27 and John 17 were the major run getters for CHAMP in the first innings before Ajitkumar (2/23) and Paran Dutta (2/24) and Naresh (1/21) shared 5 wickets in a lost cause.
