Grenade lobbed, explodes

IMPHAL, Feb 8: A grenade lobbed by unidentified miscreants exploded at the residence of Executive Engineer Puyam Rajendro at Chajing Mamang Leikai, under Singjamei police station, Imphal West this evening.
The explosion occurred at the courtyard of the residence at around 5.30 pm. It didn't hurt anyone.
Puyam Rajendro, 50, is Executive Engineer of Rural Engineering Department.
Soon after the blast, senior officers of Imphal West district police rushed to the incident site and inspected.
Singjamei police have registered a case regarding the incident for investigation.
