AKML to honor literary excellence

IMPHAL, Feb 7 : Apunba Khorirolgee Malemgee Lup (AKML) is set to celebrate its 4th Foundation Day on March 1, 2026, at the Manipur Dramatic Union in Yaiskul.
The event will feature an award presentation ceremony and the release of a new book.
The day’s program includes the formal release of a book of poems and songs titled “Eireipaksidagi” written by Waikhom Amuchou.
During the ceremony, Naoroibam Indramani will be specifically honored with the “Manipur Historian Title 2026”.
Pangambam Nandakumar will also be honored with the “Waheigee Nachom” title for his book “Peeranggee Paodam”.
The “Meihourol Literature Award 2026” will be presented to Dr Yumnam Indrajit for his book “Thengkhou Langpumlon”.
The awards will include a citation and a shawl.
The event will also feature speeches by several experts, including Dr Soram Lokeshwor, Birendrajit Naorem and Dr Longjam Saratchandra.
