Security forces recover arms, ammunition

IMPHAL, Feb 8: Security forces recovered several arms and ammunition from Molnom-Molnoi Village and adjoining areas under Tengnoupal police station today, said the police.
The recovered items include one AK Rifle, one Pistol, two improvised mortars, one Single Barrel Rifle, two live improvised mortar bombs, ten 7.62 mm rounds and fourteen IEDs.
The IEDs were safely on the site, said police.
Notably, security forces had recovered a number of arms and ammunition from the general area of Lenglong and Talkhang under Nungba PS yesterday.
The recovered items included one AK47 Rifle with magazine, one US Carbine M2 with magazine, one .22 Pistol with magazine, one drone, four 8mm blank rounds, seventeen 5.56 mm rounds, thirty nine 7.62 mm AK-47 rounds, eight 9 mm carbine ball rounds, nine 7.62 mm SLR ball, seven 12 bore cartridges, two Baofeng radio sets and cortex wire.
