YAC, SNC victorious in Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Feb 8 : YAC, Yaiskul and SNC, Sangaiprou emerged victorious in today’s matches of the ongoing XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026.
In a Group C match staged this morning, YAC chased down a target of 145 runs to kick off their league campaign on a winning note.
YCC raised 144 runs for 8 wickets after electing to bat first courtesy of Binishan’s lead knock of 44 off 37 balls but Ramesh scored a half century (54 off 41) to set the momentum for YAC before Birjit 24 and Kritikumar 13 produced an unbeaten fifth wicket stand to guide YAC to the target in 17.5 overs.
Birjit (2/21) and Chitranjan (2/21) shared four wickets for YAC in the first innings as Kritikumar, Ramesh and Raju claimed a wicket apiece.
Binishan (2/25), L Sanjit (1/21) and Gunindro (1/16) shared four wickets for YCC in a lost cause.
Ramesh who added highest 54 and picked one wicket was declared man of the match.
In a Group D match staged later in the day, SNC beat YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai by 34 runs.
SNC posted 107 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 18 overs thanks to leading knocks from Wangkhem Rajen 42 off 37 and M Ranendrajit 40 off 39 before Tokpam Khumansana (3/5), Khumanthem Ronelkumar (2/21), Romeshchandra (2/12), M Ranendrajit (1/18) and Wangkhem Rajen (1/5) bowled out YUCC for 73 runs in 18 overs.
Kh Raju (2/15), Khomdram Sibananda (2/20) and P Bidison (1/21) shared the five wickets for YUCC in the first innings before Manikumar 19, Kh Raju 15 and Netaji 10 emerged the only double digit run getters in the chase.
