YMDO to host State Level Men’s Open Volleyball Tournament

IMPHAL, Mar 10 : The Young Men’s Development Organisation (YMDO) is set to organise the State Level Men’s Open Volleyball Tournament from March 14 to 18 at its court at Heirangoithong.
The tournament is organised under the aegis of the All Manipur Volleyball Association (AMVA) in memory of the 14 departed souls who tragically lost their lives while spectating a match of the Dhanapati Memorial Volleyball Tournament on March 14, 1984 at YMDO volleyball ground.
The tournament carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for the winners and Rs 30,000 for the winners besides a cash prize of Rs 2,000 each for the best setter, best spiker, best blocker, best libero and best player, said YMDO in a circular issued in this regard.
All clubs/organisations affiliated to AMVA may take part in the tournament (with local players only) and the entry submission can be done on or before March 12, it said.
