ZUF warns KI-SWSH

IMPHAL, Mar 12 : Denying allegations made by Kuki Inpi, South-West Sadar Hills (KI-SWSH), the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has directed KI-SWSH to issue a public apology within three days.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Information & Publicity, ZUF strongly condemned the allegations made by KI-SWSH regarding an incident at the "so-called K Songlung village", located in Waphong Tamphoimon Zeliangrong Inpui Naga area, where an assault and gunfire exchange reportedly occurred at 11.30 pm between ZUF S Kamson cadres and the Assam Rifles on March 10.
Aside from the exchange of gunfire, the KI-SWSH had accused the S Kamson Group of burning down K Songlung village on Republic Day 2026 and disrupting the normal life of the community people since last year.
The Front has dismissed the charges levelled by KI-SWSH as baseless, unverified, and misleading and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image and reputation of ZUF in the public domain.
Issuing a strong warning, ZUF has instructed KI-SWSH to issue a public apology within three days "for making such irresponsible and defamatory allegations against the Front". It cautioned that failure to comply will compel the concerned organization to bear full responsibility for any consequences arising thereafter.
