CRAU, RCA secure comfortable wins in 10th MNCA Elite Cricket

IMPHAL, Mar 12: CRAU Khamnam Bazar and RCA Lilong emerged victorious in today's matches of the 10th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Trophy.
CRAU Khamnam Bazar secured a 72-run victory over CHAMP Cricket Club Khagempalli at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
RCA Lilong secured a 139-run victory over ESU Wangkhei Palace Compound at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
CRAU vs CHAMP
At Moijing Public Ground, CRAU won the toss and opted to bat first to amass 215 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs.
In reply, CHAMP could score only 143 for all wickets down in 28 overs.
For CRAU, Ph Jodash knocked a massive 50 runs including 4 fours and 2 sixes off 37 balls.
Lamabam Jotin Singh (39 runs off 50 balls), Heishnam Joyhenba Meitei (35 runs off 41 balls), Johny Kh (27 runs off 41), Ayekpam Rakesh Singh (13 runs off 21 balls),  Takhellambam Kala Singh (8 runs off 10 balls), Robinson Sougaijam (6 runs off 28 balls), Sanatomba K (4 runs off 4 balls), Khumanthem Prakash Singh (3 runs off 3 balls), Bm Sabakhan (2 runs off 3 balls) and Dennis Khangenbam (1 run off 2 balls) contributed runs for CRAU to reach 215 in 40 overs.
CHAMP's Md Sultan Karim and Abdul Kasim took 3 wickets each. Md Babu took 2 wickets and Mohd Ahsanul Kabir scalped one wicket.
In CHAMP's chase for the target, Sougrakpam Shangkar Singh knocked a massive 54 runs including 5 fours and 3 sixes off 62 balls, but it couldn't ignite his team to deliver their best.
Sougrakpam Shangkar Singh (54 runs off 62 balls), Yumnam Karnajit (23 runs off 32 balls), Samir (21 runs off 12 balls) and Md Sultan Karim (24 runs off 33 balls) contributed meaningful runs as the team ended their runs at  143 for 10 wickets in 28 overs.
CRAU's Ayekpam Rakesh Singh took 4 CHAMP wickets. Heishnam Joyhenba Meitei scalped 3 wickets. Bm Sabakhan and Khumanthem Prakash took one wicket each.
RCA vs ESU
At Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal, RCA Lilong won the toss and opted to bat first, and amassed 206 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs.
Facing an excellent RCA bowling and fielding, ESU struggled and could score only 67 for 10 wickets in 26.2 overs.
For RCA to amass 206 in 40 overs, Md Anush knocked a splendid 76 runs including 4 fours and 2 sixes off 83 balls.
Iliyas (21 runs off 19 balls), Zamir Khan (20 runs off 37 balls), Zuned (17 runs off 11 balls), Md Safwan Ahamed (14 runs off 27 balls), Md Danish Khan (11 runs off 23 balls), Naesh Hussain (10 runs off 11 balls), Md Imran Khan (8 runs off 18 balls), Makakmayum Aziz Mirza (5 runs off 11 balls) and Syed Sami ul (5 runs off 5 balls) contributed to RCA's 206 runs in 40 overs.
ESU's Lourembam Dipu Singh, Thangjam Rishi Singh, Leishangthem Bishorjit and Bishomcha Khundrakpam took 2 wickets each, and Tenyson scalped one wicket.
In ESU's failed chase, only Sagolshem Ronal Meitei (14 runs off 32 balls) could score a double-digit run.
RCA's Naesh Hussain took 3 wickets. Makakmayum Aziz Mirza and Zamir Khan scalped 2 wickets each, and Zuned took one wicket.
