One held in Aizawl with 10.3kg crystal meth

Mizoram Police have seized 10.369 kg of crystal methamphetamine worth more than Rs 8.29 crore in Aizawl and arrested one person in connection with the case, the State Police Department’s CPRO IGP H Ramthlengliana said on Friday.
Ramthlengliana told TOI that a team of the Criminal Investigation Department (Special Branch), acting on “reliable intelligence input”, launched an operation at Chaltlang in north Aizawl and arrested Tongbram Priyobarta Singh, 50, of Hastal Village in Uttam Nagar, West Delhi, at around 10.48 pm on Thursday.
He said the team recovered and seized crystalised methamphetamine with an estimated international market value of Rs 8.29 crore during the operation.
A case has been registered at the Special Narcotic Police Station in Aizawl under Section 22(c) of the NDPS Act. Further legal action and investigation are underway, he added. Times of India
