SUK to host Mukna competition

IMPHAL, Mar 14 : The Students’ Union of Kangleipak (SUK) is set to conduct a State level Mukna Competition as a part of its continued effort to preserve and promote indigenous games.
The competition will be hosted at Manipur University Indoor Hall from April 25 to 26, said Moirangthem Vasco, SUK’s secretary of Health and Sports during a press conference held today at the head office of the union at Wangkhei. The competition (below 60 kg and above 60 kg) will only be open to the student community, he said.
The winners and runners up athletes in both the categories will receive cash prizes of Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively while the third and fourth placed athletes will receive a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each, Vasco added.
