Khemchand alerts officials, assures relief

IMPHAL, Mar 15: Taking serious note of the destruction and hardship caused by the heavy rain and hailstorms in some parts of the State, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand has issued strict instructions to all officials concerned to remain on high alert and take immediate, coordinated measures to mitigate the impact on the affected people. Relief and response teams have also been directed to act swiftly to ensure that essential assistance including relief materials and access to basic necessities reach those in need without delay. Asserting that the Government is fully committed to safeguarding the well-being of the people, the Chief Minister assured that the Government will continue to take all necessary steps to ensure relief, safety and support for every affected family.
