ESU to lock horns with Utlou FC in Maj Dr Jyotin Memorial football final

IMPHAL, Mar 2 : ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound will lock horns with Utlou FC in the title clash of the Maj Dr Jyotin Singh Memorial Football Tournament 2026 on March 4.
The tournament is being organised by the Indian Army at DSA Bishnupur playground.
ESU reached the final today with a 4-0 rout of Loktak FC. In the lopsided encounter, M Taj opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Jeeran scored back to back in the 54th and the 88th minutes to further extend the lead to 3-0.
Rahit then rounded off the scoring 4 minutes into the stoppage time (90+4’).
Later in the second semi-final encounter, Utlou FC beat Elite FA 1-0 courtesy of Amit’s 11th minute strike and set up the final date with ESU.
