TRAU, RCA stretch winning run in 10th MNCA Elite Trophy 2025-26

IMPHAL, Mar 2 : TRAU, Kwakeithel defeated CRAU, Khamnam Bazar by 3 wickets for seventh win as RCA, Lilong beat SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai by 4 wickets for the fifth win in the ongoing 10th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Trophy 2025-26.
At Moijing Public Ground, TRAU chose to field first and dismissed CRAU for 161 runs in 39.4 overs and fought their way to the winning 163/7 in 36.3 overs.
Robinson Sougaijam struck 75 off 115 balls for CRAU in the first innings that saw Mutum Swabhiman (3/28 in 8 overs) and Ningthoujam Sanjit (3/32 in 8 overs) sharing 6 wickets for TRAU.
In reply, TRAU had a dismal start and slumped to 11/3 in 5.3 overs but Kangabam Priyojit who came in at number 3 anchored with an unbeaten 95 to guide TRAU to the target. Priyojit’s knock includes 12 fours and 2 sixes.
Heisnam Joyhenba (2/22) returned with the best bowling figures for CRAU as four others claimed a wicket apiece.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, RCA bundled out SCCC for 157 runs in 38.2 overs before Syed Hussain scored a 100-ball 109 to help RCA cruise to the winning 161/4 within 31.1 overs.
Asked to bat first, SCCC had a disastrous start and slumped to 157 all out despite Bikash Singh’s 55 off 69 (8 fours) as Naesh Hussain (3/19 in 8 overs) and Makakmayum Aziz Mirza (3/28 in 8 overs) claimed three wickets apiece and Md Danish Khan chipped in with two wickets (2/41 in 8 overs).
In reply, Syed Hussain went hammer and tongs for a 100-ball 109 including 13 fours and 4 sixes and the team were 8 runs away from the victory when he departed for the 5th wicket.
Khaidem Lishan was the pick of the SCCC bowlers returning with 3/34 as three others claimed a wicket apiece.
