Dikho visits Valte's family

CCpur , Mar 2: Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho on Monday visited Churachandpur and met with family members of late MLA Vungzagin Valte.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Commissioner (Home) Ashok Kumar and district administration officials.
During the visit, Losii Dikho also met with Zomi Council leaders and members of the Zomi Coordination Committee.
Dikho met with the late MLA's wife and his son, and expressed solidarity with the family.
He offered a traditional Naga shawl signifying deep respect for the late Thanlon AC MLA. He shared the family's grief and assured all possible assistance.
Valte was severely injured during a mob attack in Imphal in the early days of the conflict in May 2023. He died on February 21 at a private hospital in Gurugram.
Answering queries of the media, Dikho said his visit to Churachandpur was to meet the bereaved family members and express condolences and solidarity.
Dikho, however, refused to disclose what he discussed with the two Zomi bodies. Dikho had met with the Zomi leaders at the Zomi Council's conference hall.
