IMPHAL, Mar 30: A woman was hit by a bullet on her leg during a commotion related to land issue in Khoupum valley area today, said sources. There was tension involving members of the Riamei clan after village head Gainipou Riamei attempted to declare Guitang (Duithanjang) village as public land, said the sources.
The majority of the Riamei clan rejected the move and this led to shooting which hurt the woman. The shot was allegedly fired by a ZUF cadre.
