Kuki-Zo MLAs attend session in virtual mode

IMPHAL, Mar 9 : At least six Kuki and Zo MLAs attended the first day of the seventh session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly, which commenced today in virtual mode.
The House session began at 11 am.
Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh initially sought approval from Speaker Th Satyabrata for the Kuki and Zo MLAs to join the session virtually.
Subsequently, the Speaker inquired if any Members of the House had objections to the Kuki and Zo MLAs participating virtually.
No objections were raised by the Members.
The Kuki and Zo MLAs who attended the House session today were Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen (Kangpokpi AC), LM Khaute (Churachandpur AC), Haokholet Kipgen (Saitu AC), Kimneo Hangshing (Saikul AC), Letzamang Haokip (Henglep AC), and Ngursanglur Sanate (Tipaimukh AC).
A TV screen inside the floor of the Assembly displayed their attendance virtually.
On the other hand, the Kuki MLAs who did not attend the session were Letpao Haokip (Tengnoupal AC), Chinlunthang (Singhat AC), and Paolienlal Haokip (Saikot AC). The Speaker later informed the House Letpao Haokip had sought leave of absenceduring the Budget session as he was ill. The House unanimously agreed to grant him the leave. It may be mentioned that Vungzagin Valte, the MLA of Thanlon AC, passed away recently.
