CM to visit Spt today

IMPHAL, Apr 9 : Chief Minister Yumnam Khem-chand is set to visit Senapati tomorrow with plans to inaugurate a new project and interact with leaders of various organisations.
According to a source, the Chief Minister will travel by road along the NH-2 to visit the district.
He will inaugurate the newly constructed multi storey car park in Senapati HQ at 10.30 am tomorrow.
He will also speak at a gathering at Senapati HQ and meet CSO leaders.
Yumnam Khemchand will be the first Chief Minister to travel by road on NH-2 (Imphal-Dimapur) since the eruption of violence on May 3, 2023.
In preparation of the Chief Minister's visit, security measures have been strengthened in many areas of Kangpokpi district along NH-2.
Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho has also been stationed in Senapati ahead of the Chief Minister's visit along with tightened security enforced in the district.
