RSS condemns Tronglaobi killings

IMPHAL, Apr 10 : The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Manipur Prant has expressed its profound grief and strong condemnation over the tragic killing of two innocent children at Tronglaobi in the early hours of April 7, 2026.
A bomb explosion inside a residential bedroom at around 1 am led to the untimely demise of a five-year-old boy, Oinam Tomthin, and a five-month-old infant girl, Oinam Yaisana. Their mother, Oinam Binita, sustained serious injuries in the incident.
RSS, in a statement, stated that the deeply disturbing event has caused immense sorrow and anguish.
Saying that the loss of such young and innocent lives is irreparable and has left the community in a state of shock, Shijagurumayum Tarunkumar Sharma, Karyawah of RSS Manipur Prant, stated that the loss of two innocent children in such a tragic manner is beyond words.
"Our hearts go out to the bereaved family, and we pray for strength and courage for them to bear this irreparable loss," he said.
Saying that such acts of violence have no place in a civilised society, he appealed to everyone to uphold peace, harmony, and mutual understanding, and to collectively work towards ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
He also conveyed his condolences to those who lost their lives or were injured during the unfortunate incidents that followed the tragedy.
Urging the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to ensure that justice is delivered in a fair and timely manner, RSS, at the same time, appealed to all sections of society to maintain calm, uphold harmony, and support one another during this difficult period.
"In connection with the tragic incident, Shri Guruji Shakha, Thangapat, Wangkhei Upa Nagar, under RSS Manipur Prant, observed a two-minute silence and lit candles as a mark of respect and to pray for the eternal peace of the departed souls", it said.
