IMPHAL, Apr 10 : The families and relatives of the nine PLA cadres who were killed in the 1982 encounter at Kodompokpi have appealed to the public to participate in the Athoubasinggi Numit observance on April 13 at Thangmeiband Cheiraoching.
Speaking to the media, Naorem Ibohanbi, who lost a brother in the incident, said that the event will be held from 6 am to 4 pm on April 13, during which floral tributes will be paid to the slain cadres.
Advocate Okram Nutankumar stated that the High Court of Manipur has granted approval for the families and relatives to organise the event.
