IMPHAL, Apr 13 : Four suspected cadres of the Kuki National Army, Burma (KNA-B) were reportedly killed today in a clash believed to be with the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM).
The clash took place around 9 am today between Ashang Khullen in Kamjong district and Phaiyang village in Myan- mar, as per a source.
The suspected KNA-B cadres reportedly ventured into a region known as Kaka in Ashang Khullen and launched an attack on the NSCN-IM cadres, leading to the confrontation which lasted around an hour, continued the source.
The dead bodies have not yet been identified. However, four AK series rifles are said to have been recovered from them.
Consequently, apprehension has gripped the villa- gers of Namlee, Wanglee, Ashang Khullen and Choro which share a border with the neighbouring country of Myanmar.
It is worth noting that a drone strike was recently reported in a Myanmar village near the Indo- Myanmar border. It was allegedly carried out by the KNA-B, inflicting heavy damages.
