IMPHAL, Apr 13: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed in connection with the Tronglaobi incidents of April 7 has agreed to conducting postmortem of 5 killed.
Postmortem may be conducted for the 5 deceased, including 2 children killed in the bomb attack and 3 killed in CRPF firing on protesters. However, the bodies will not be claimed until the JAC's demands are met, the committee's co-convenor Sinam Ajitkumar said, speaking to reporters today.
The decision to allow postmortem was taken during a public meeting held yesterday, he said.
The stir for justice of the 5 killed in the incidents will continue until all demands are met by the Government, he added.
In case a body is found claimed by any family against the collective decision, then the respective family shall bear the responsibility for any eventualities and development that may follow, Ajitkumar said.
